Mix it Up

Photos: Myself
Top: Target, Skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Madden Girl
This lace top is one of my favorites to wear. It is long-sleeved with a very delicate pattern. I decided to pair it with this patterned skirt because its neutral color goes well with the navy and picks up the white pattern in the skirt nicely. Please tell me what you think!

Sugar and Spice Aren't Always Nice

Photos: Myself
Top: American Eagle, Vest: Gap, Shorts: Old Navy, Shoes: Urban Outfitters
This outfit has a mix of different fabrics and materials including sequins, seersucker, and chain. I experimented by pairing black accessories with the brown-toned shorts. The flower was added in the one photo to make the outfit seem sweeter and more relaxed. Please tell me what you think!

One Skirt, Three Ways

Skirt- Bon Ton, Coral Top- Old Navy, Boots- Urban Outfitters, 2nd and 3rd Belts- Gap, 1st Belt- J. Crew White Top- Charlotte Russe, Sandals- Nine West, Beige Sweater- Target
I wore these outfits pairing  two different color schemes with the skirt. The skirt is light, flowy, and the perfect summer piece to throw on. I would love to pair it with a relaxed jean jacket similar to the one shown and plain tee for a cute, relaxed look. Please tell me what you think!

Taking It Easy

Photos: Myself
I just bought this new sweater at Taget after falling in love with its fit. It could be worn with cut-offs, jeans or a pencill skirt- so versatile! I enjoy the contrast of the lose fiitting sweater with the fitted skirt. It has an 80's relaxed feel to it. Please tell me what you think!

Springtime Scents

http://www.spaweekblog.com/tag/marc-jacobs-daisy/

 Photos: Myself
I decided that I wanted to attempt to recreate the Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume ad. The scent is light, feminine, and sweet. I thought that I could bring in the natural elements and overall feminine look from the ad and perfume. This was enjoyable and simple to recreate. I feel that the gladiator sandals make the oufit more suitable for spring without being too showy. Please tell me what you think about the recreation and/or outfit! Thanks

Little Details

     Photos: Myself
Top: Columbia; Shorts: Gap; Shoes: Urban Outfitters; Belt: Gap; Scarf: Target; Socks: Bon Ton
These pictures were taken in early April so the outfit seems a little less spring-ready. But, the scarf brings the dark colors from the boots and the bright top color together. I enjoy wearing a dark boot because they can ground a light outfit.

Wide-leg Pants

I was inspired by the loose looks from the spring 2011 runways. The 70's inspired look can be casual or formal depending on what materials and jewelry you wear. Wide leg trousers are not difficult to wear because they are universally flattering. I love the mood of the spring Neiman Marcus ads because they capture both the glamour and naturalness of fashion from the 70's.
